PROSPECTIVE SINGERS
Each season we have limited openings, usually for tenors and/or basses, and occasionally for sopranos and/or altos. All new and returning singers will be auditioned on a space-available basis, at the discretion of the Music Director.

Fax the completed form (download the form here, no cover sheet necessary) to 845-698-8848 (BBS eFax) or scan and email it as an attachment to singbroadway@yahoo.com.

Our chorus seeks to have a diverse group. When we audition new singers, our goal is to balance the chorus within each section and to diversify our group to reflect the varied population of the Bay Area. We particularly encourage younger singers and singers of color (African-American, Asian, Latino, Pacific Islanders and mixed-race backgrounds) to diversify our chorus in terms of race, age, ethnicity and cultural backgrounds.

We seek singers who have good intonation, can blend with the group, and are able to meet or exceed the current BBS vocal standard. Since we learn some of our music by ear, being able to read music is helpful but not necessary. More crucial to our success is being able to follow musical directions and remember parts taught by ear, both harmonically and melodically. The music we make together is our way of giving to the community and having fun.
